Description of my project:
“The Hunter” is a fiction experimental short film, it is a surrealistic /fantastic film. Everything in the film happens in some sort of dystopian universe. “The Hunter” is a kind of modern and civilized elegant person (a business man so to say) that lives in a strange wild dimension where he tries to survive.
The film is kind of parody, it consists of a symbolic representation of time, specific situations and performances relating to the activities and rituals of life. The film try to explore this new system and the meaning and value of symbols, objects and actions.
This film is a kind of fable, a personal metaphor of life “Born, learn, master and conquer” where is presented and represented the forces of nature and the forces of culture and where these two are blended. It is difficult to differentiate what is natural, artificial, organic, synthetic, analogue, digital, spiritual, virtual, reality, imagination; where there might be no need to distinguish between these differences and it is easier finding meaning to existences without differentiating.
“The Hunter” is a combination of performances, portrayed objects and staged dramatics scenes. It is symbolic work without dialogues or spoken words.
Since the beginning of this project I had in mind to make a work that doesn't have any dialogues or spoken words, I wanted to make a very symbolic work avoiding any language.
Contact me if you want to see the film.

Penance is an independent short film made in 2017. The original idea is from a script I wrote as a feature film, as would be a very ambitious complex project, I decided to create a smaller side story for a short film and this is “Penance”.
This movie was an original idea written by me and made with my own resources and with the help of my family, friends and the local municipality. Making independent movies without a budget or strategic partner is not easy and it turned out to be an ambitious and challenging project. The film is shot in the region, Santander Colombia, where I am from. The crew consisted of friends that work in video productions and the cast consists of local people, artists and villagers that wanted to participate in the project. The complete process of making this film from writing to presenting the final version was a little less than a year.
I’m still working on how to make the full production of the original feature film.
I was exploring a new productive way in how to make economical films using simple techniques.
I worked in a series of videos, very personal ideas, where I tried to work only with myself and
the camera. The idea was to explore storytelling and narrative with minimal elements and the use
of myself as an object and subject.
